Cameraman & Camera Assistant | Documentaries

I've been working as a cameraman and camera assistant on documentaries, and what I care about most are the real moments, the ones nobody planned. Branded content, narrative, music docs, classic reportage... the format changes, but I'm always chasing the same thing: something true happening in front of the camera. I specialize in working with small international crews, bringing a documentary-quality image to every project. From the first stages of pre-production to the final edit, I understand the full arc of working on a documentary.

Any Place, Any Condition

Bad weather, tricky logistics, a culture completely different from mine, I'm used to it. I know how to get ready for a shoot in almost any situation, and once I'm there, I adapt. A mountain village, a busy city, a small community deep in a forest, I work fast, but I never forget I'm a guest in someone else's story.

Connecting with People

For me, this job starts before I pick up the camera. The most important part as documentary filmmaker is getting people to accept you, earning their trust. Without that, people perform for the camera and this is not what I'm looking for. I listen, I spend time without filming, I let people set the pace. It's slower, but it's my way to get something true. I know how to work with local fixers to keep things respectful wherever we are. I speak Italian (my mother tongue), English (fluent), and some Spanish.
